The UKOTs Health Security Programme works collaboratively to strengthen health systems that prevent, detect and respond to health emergencies and threats in the UKOTs. The programme is funded by the Integrated Security Fund (ISF), Governance Programme through the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and is implemented by the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA).
This dedicated knowledge hub shares and promotes learning from the programme to support strong and sustainable UKOTs health systems that prevent, detect and respond to health emergencies and threats. The programme aims to do this through 4 key domains:
Supporting the implementation of the International Health Regulations (IHR) and Framework Convention for Tobacco Control (FCTC) in the UKOTs
Contributing to increased understanding of and response to the health status of UKOT populations
Improving the health and wellbeing of vulnerable population groups in the UKOTs
Supporting the development of a skilled and competent health workforce in the UKOTs
